Tim Mayle, Director, will present on the formation, mission, and driving purpose behind the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics (CAML). The CAML was recently formed as a collaborative partnership of Bowling Green State University, The University of Findlay, and Owens Community College to prepare the region for the growing workforce needs in the manufacturing and logistics sectors. Mayle will share with attendees the development and implementation of the organization and educate on ways local businesses and HR representatives can partner with and benefit from the CAML’s efforts.
Tim Mayle began working as the Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics in November 2022. Prior Tim was the Director of Economic Development in Findlay from November of 2016 thru October 2022 and was Assistant Director from April of 2011. Tim is a 2004 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Geographic Information Systems. Prior to joining the Alliance Tim worked for the Hardin County Commissioners for seven years.
He is the former President of the North Central Campus for Emerging Technologies and Findlay Young Professionals, board member of the United Way of Hancock County, American Cancer Society Volunteer Leadership and Small Business Resource Center. Tim is past chairman of Raise the Bar of Hancock County (Workforce), Secretary of Blanchard River Watershed Solutions and is the past President of the Ohio Economic Development Association and serves on the Findlay Energy Special Improvement District and Findlay Design Review District. Tim was appointed to the Regional Economic Development Alliance Study developed by the Ohio Senate and House of Representatives to identify best practices in Economic Development in 2018. In 2021 Governor DeWine appointed Tim to serve on the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Transportation Review Advisory Council. Tim was awarded the 20 under 40 award, which recognizes community leaders in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan in 2013.
Under Tim’s leadership Findlay Hancock County was recognized as the #1 Micropolitan in the United States based on capital investment, new construction and job creation for eight consecutive years by Site Selection Magazine. Tim is married and has a boy (17) and a girl (14).
